Well it seems like we finally have the spring weather we have been hoping for today!
I hope everyone is excited for the week ahead!
Today in Grade Two we began our day with our weekly spelling words which the students will be quizzed on - Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Simply due to the shortened two weeks.
After, spelling the students transitioned into Mathematics, where they continued their unit on Measurement. They took the time to inquire and think about their investigations and how they should be graphed. The student's activity allowed them to communicate with one another in a hands on experience!
Following Mathematics, the Grade Two's quietly reflected on their reading of Chapter 3 in Freckle Juice and completed the comprehension task with ease. The students worked on sequencing with open minds and creativity.
In the afternoon, the children focused on the Learning Goal:
- "I learned how to write a complete and interesting paragraph"
Following Writers Workshop the children patiently practiced their printing of "G" and then exchanged books in the Library.
