The sun was shining today and the student's spirits were flying high!!

We began our day with open-minds and the children focused on their spelling and phonics exercises with ease. I observed the students communicating effectively with one an other to gather information and obtain answers to problems posed.

In mathematics the Grade Twos demonstrated attributes of the IB Learner Profile today by solving problems as "Thinkers" and "Inquirers". They were all asked to measure various objects in the classroom using rulers and proper units of measure, in this case centimetres. The small group worked together and communicated wonderful ideas and even took risks when discussing outcomes. Dynamic success today!

In our novel study of "Freckle Juice" the students continued their work on developing their own shampoo recipe. The final products were well thought out and incredibly creative, expressing the personalities of each child's personality.

This afternoon, in Writing Workshop the students focused on the Learning Goals -
- "I learned how write a complete using information from the question being asked".
- "I learned how to extend my writing by making connections to text, self, and the world"

Following Writing Workshop the students practised their printing of "G", engaged in typing tutorials, and worked on tablets.
