Another excellent day here at school!
In Langauge Arts the students worked on spelling exercises and a grammar activity centred around silent /h/ in the am. We then continued with our reading of Freckle Juice and a recipe activity, in which the students imaginatively created their our magical shampoo. This activity brought the students together and they shared insightfully.
In mathematics, we continued our unit on measurement and the application of centimetre to measure objects found in the classroom. An extremely hands on activity that had the children applying their knowledge to actual situations.
In the afternoon the students engaged in a wonderful art lesson on texture and created a landscape design using the elements of texture design, including cross hatching, pointillism, and various others techniques.
Following art the students developed their own fitness goals in physical education and achieved those goals through circuit training.
