What happened today…
Everyone was in excellent spirits in class today. It was "Fashion Friday, Power Wrap Lunch, and Birthday Circle"… so a very exciting day!
In Language Arts we began the day with our spelling quiz which was completed by all the students at higher than average grades! Great Work! After spelling, we transitioned into our grammar and the study of /ey/. Following grammar we continued our work on "Ask Einstein" and the group exercises focused primarily on predicting the story's events.
Within our mathematics we completed our unit on, "Addition & Subtraction with numbers to 100". The students firmly grasped the primary concepts and strategies taught throughout the unit. Using "Place Value, Stack & Slice, and Jack's Start".
Following our Power Wrap lunch the students collectively worked on their writing styles pertaining to the questions within their novel study.
To complete the day we gathered together in the gym and celebrated Birthday Circle. Great week back!
